ABOUT "THE QUOTE I WROTE" . . .
Welcome to The Quote I Wrote! I'm so happy you decided to check out my little corner of the web. The place where I get to share some of my favorite quotes with all of you, this website consists of more than just a bunch of pretty pictures. Instead, it consists of inspiration, motivation, and "spread the word" documentation! Originally functioning as the "photo blog" page on my professional website, the overwhelming level of daily readership of this page grew so drasticly that I indeed decided to start this website—a new and bigger blog with a new and bigger mission.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have had a thing, so to speak, for quotes. Whenever I would come across a quotation that struck a chord with something inside of me, I would get an index card and a marker, and write it down. Over the years, my quote collection has grown from a few stacks of cards, to something that is more reminiscent of this:

Whereas I used to keep these cards in numerous boxes under my bed, a number of my favorite quotes finally saw daylight when, in college, I used these colorful cards to create a "faux wallpaper" of sorts. A time of self-evolution, self-improvement, and self-acceptance, being surrounded by these quotes on a daily basis was probably one of the best things I ever did for myself! Whether it was before an exam, after a break-up, or in the middle of a blah kind of day, I would always find myself going to sleep with a smile on my face if and when I would first read some of the quotes that lined my apartment walls. In fact, this thing, which would eventually be dubbed "the quote wall," was more than just my saving grace. It was also the helping hand (or helping wall for that matter) that pulled so many of my friends up when they too seemed to be drowning. That said, fast-forward to post-college life, and colorful index cards no longer seem to function as professional, adult-like décor. But little girl, college chick, and/or working adult "stage of life" aside, the inspirational component of reading quotations never waivers. Sadly however, our senses of inspiration and internal motivation do. Hence, the reasoning behind this website.
Serving up a hefty dose of inspiration, motivation, and some tried and true advice, The Quote I Wrote is more than just a change agent--it's a "change of perspective" agent. So, open your mind, feel with your heart, believe in the power of the quote, and trust me, you can have a brand new start.
